is the Vice President Compliance for Safety-Kleen Canada Inc., a subsidiary of Clean Harbors. With the help of a small staff, he oversees the environmental compliance activities at 25+ hazardous waste management facilities across Canada. This includes Canada’s largest used oil re-refinery, 4 processing facilities and 18 waste transfer facilities. Mr. Wagner is a graduate from the University of Waterloo in Environmental Studies and Chemistry as well as from Conestoga College in Occupation Health and Safety.
Mr. Wagner joined Safety-Kleen in 1990 serving in various roles in environmental and health & safety compliance. Over the years, he has developed various systems and procedures to ensure a safe compliant working environment including implementing an environmental management system in conformance with ISO14000. Mr. Wagner is also involved in regulatory affairs activities including participating in various environmental committees of different associations, and communicating with federal, provincial and local agencies on the development of new or changing regulations.
